After a slew of leaks, the Samsung Galaxy Note series is now official. As speculated, there are two Note devices, the Galaxy Note10, and Galaxy Note10+. The devices now come in two sizes, the Galaxy Note+ is the biggest Note till date in terms of the screen size, it features a 6.8-inch screen. The Galaxy Note10 has a 6.3-inch display. Both the devices feature edge-to-edge cinematic infinity display with HDR10+.
The highlight of the Note series has been the S Pen. This time the S Pen is redesigned with new capabilities. Like the previous S Pen, this one also supports gesture controls, with a press of a button you can trigger the camera. You can also use the new gesture function to scroll through modes like zoom in, zoom out and take a photo by clicking the button on the S Pen. You can take down notes instantly and convert the handwriting to digital text in Samsung Notes. The text can also be exported to a word processing app for editing.
The PC connectivity feature, Samsung Dex now does not require a separate dock, one can just plug in the Note10 to a Windows PC or a Mac and use the phone apps with a keyboard and mouse.
In terms of hardware specifications, the Galaxy Note10 and Note 10+ are powered by Exynos 9825 processor. Samsung might also use Snapdragon Qualcomm 855 chipsets for certain markets. Galaxy Note10+ will be available in 12GB RAM and option to chose between 256GB/512GB storage. Additionally one can extend the storage by adding a Micro SD card up to 1TB.
On the other hand, the Galaxy Note10 comes in 8GB RAM and 256GB storage and does not support Micro SD card. Samsung also has announced the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage for its 5G model that will be available in its home country.
In terms of imaging, the Note10+ has a quad-camera setup, 16-megapixel ultra-wide lens, 12-megapixel wide-angle lens, 12-megapixel telephone lens and a depth vision VGA lens. While the Galaxy Note10 comes with triple camera setup of 16-megapixel ultra-wide lens, 12-megapixel wide-angle lens and 12-megapixel telephoto lens. The front camera on both the devices is 10-megapixel which is a punch hole type.
Samsung has focused on content creators this time with the camera. The devices come with Live focus video that adds depth-of-field adjustments to blur the background and Zoom-In Mic capability that amplifies the audio in a frame.
In terms of battery, the Galaxy Note10+ comes with 4300mAh battery and Galaxy Note10 with 3500mAh battery. Devices support super-fast charging, however, the Note10+ supports 45W charging as well. The devices now have Wireless Powershare and can wirelessly recharge Galaxy Watch, Galaxy Buds, or other Qi-enabled device.
Both devices come in three colours. While Galaxy Note 10+ will be available in Aura Glow, Aura White and Aura Black; Galaxy Note 10 will be available in Aura Glow, Aura Red and Aura Black. Galaxy Note10+ will be available starting Rs. 79,999, while Galaxy Note10 is priced at Rs. 69,999. Customers can pre-book their Galaxy Note across select retail outlets and online portals including Samsung.com/in, Flipkart, Amazon, Paytm and Tata CLiQ.
Consumers pre-booking the Galaxy Note devices using their HDFC credit or debit cards on retail outlets and Samsung.com/in will get a cashback of Rs. 6,000 or using their ICICI credit or debit cards on Flipkart, Amazon, Paytm & Tata CLiQ will get a cashback of Rs. 6,000. Besides this, consumers pre-booking the Galaxy Note10 and Note 10+ devices would also be eligible to get the Galaxy Watch Active at just Rs. 9,999 (Retail price Rs. 19,990).
