Update – Pricing: Samsung announces Galaxy A50s and A30s with triple rear cameras

Samsung announced the new A-series phones, the Galaxy A50s and the Galaxy A30s. The devices are focused on people who want to capture their memories and share it via social media. These devices are successor to the already available Galaxy A50 and Galaxy A30. Both the devices come with 4000mAh battery and support 15W fast charging.

The Galaxy A50s features 6.4-inch FHD+ (1080×2340 pixels) Super AMOLED Infinity display with a waterdrop notch. It is powered by Samsung Exynos 9611 octa-core processor with two Quad cores running at 2.3GHz and other at 1.7GHz. The Galaxy A50s comes in two variants, 4GB+128GB and 6GB+128GB. The phone also supports MicroSD card up to 512GB and has an in-display fingerprint sensor. The highlight of the phone is the triple rear cameras. There is a 48-megapixel main camera, 5-megapixel sensor and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide sensor with a viewing angle of 123 degrees. The front camera is 32-megapixel.

On the other hand, the Galaxy A30s features the same size screen of 6.4-inch, however with a lower resolution of 720×1560 pixels. This is also a Super AMOLED screen with a notch. The Galaxy A30s is powered by Samsung Exynos 7904 octa-core processor with dual cores clocking at 1.8GHz and hexa cores at 1.6Hz. The phone comes in 4GB+64GB and 4GB+128GB options. Like the A50s this also supports MicroSD card up to 512GB and has an in-display fingerprint sensor. The differentiation is in the cameras. Although the A30s also has a triple camera setup, it comes with the 25-megapixel main camera, 5-megapixel and 8-megapixel ultra-wide sensor. The front camera is 16-megapixel.

The Galaxy A50s and 30s come in Prism Crush Black, Prism Crush White, Prism Crush Green and Prism Crush Violet colours. They also feature new designs like a geometric pattern and holographic effect on the rear.

Price & Availability

Galaxy A50s is be priced at Rs. 24,999 for 6GB+128GB and Rs. 22,999 for 4GB+128GB version. Galaxy A30s will be available for Rs. 16,999 for 4GB+64GB variant, the 4GB+128GB variant will be available at a later date. The devices will be available starting September 11, 2019 across offline channel, Samsung Opera House, Samsung e-shop & leading online portals.
