Samsung has unveiled the trailer for Unlikely Romances, the first original scripted series on Samsung TV Plus. Dhar Mann Studios created and produced the four-part anthology, with creator Dhar Mann serving as writer and executive producer. The first installment premieres Friday, June 5 at 9pm ET, with new episodes debuting weekly through June 26.
The series falls under the Samsung TV Plus Exclusives banner and marks the platform’s first creator-led original scripted content deal. Dhar Mann Studios announced last year it would produce 13 original episodes for Samsung TV Plus, building on the launch of the Dhar Mann TV channel in fall 2025.
Each episode follows two people set within the same city and shared world who, on paper, should never work as a couple, but who are brought together by unexpected circumstances. The anthology format gives every episode a different story and cast.
The series joins the recently announced six-part original docuseries Hooligans: The ARCH Racing Project with Keanu Reeves & Gard Hollinger, also premiering on Samsung TV Plus this summer.
Unlikely Romances will stream on Samsung Television Network (STN) in the United States and on the exclusive Dhar Mann TV channel in the US, Austria, Australia, Belgium, Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Portugal, Sweden, and Switzerland.
