Samsung B7722 dual-SIM gets official

Samsung’s B7722 that was leaked couple of weeks back has got the official treatment. The B7722 is a dual-SIM device that not only supports dual standby but also integrates 3G. The phone’s first SIM will support 3G bands (900/2100Hz) whereas the second number will be restricted to GPRS/EDGE speeds.

In addition to its dual-SIM capabilities, the phone features a 3.2-inch touchscreen display, TouchWiz UI, 5MP camera with LED flas, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1, FM Radio, DNSe technology, music player, 200MB internal memory, microSD card slot (up to 16GB), social networking site support and a 1200mAh battery.

The phone will arrive in Sweden this month for SEK4000 or roughly USD510.

    I like its feature. Perhaps, next month I’ll buy it to replace my old phone. Do we need to restart the phone when switch to 2nd SIM?

      @majalah: No, 2nd SIM remains on active standby.

    I have purchased this awesome phone a few weeks back. the drawback in this phone as far as i am concerned is, Groups limited to 10 it could be around 25 or 30 groups available. You can send sms only to 10 persons at a time. Group wise sms sending is not possible if you have more than 10 persons in a group. As far as battery is concerned, with normal usage and with one and a half hours of music a day and if you don’t charge the same evening or night, it automatically get switched off since battery is getting drained. Expect for these three shortcoming other features are good. I expect the company to adress these problem before it lauches elsewhere in the world.

    I have a BT7722. But I cannot have my old windows mobile functions. In particular it is not clear to me how to update the Outlook calendar and contacts. Active sync doesn’t work. Plus I would like to use it as modem for my Samsung netbook . But it is not clear what to to input in Kies to do that.
    Can you help?

    Battery is the main problem. if it has any, they should be resolved before the phone is launched. :|
    And only 10 people sms in a group is, well, its sad. Should do something about it.
    Feature wise, it does look like a great phone. And especially when samsung music and camera quality is often awesome.
