Samsung and ARM have been collaborating closely for the past few years. Unsurprisingly, Samsung has confirmed that they’ll use ARM’s recently announced big.LITTLE processing technology in one of the upcoming Exynos System-on-Chip (SoC).
Scheduled for a release in 2012, Samsung’s Exynos SoC will take advantage of ARM’s Cortex-A7 and big.LITTLE technology.
I’m extremely excited to announce that Samsung will deliver a new Exynos processor in 2012 that leverages both the Cortex-A7 and big.Little technology to meet the crucial demands of always-on and always-connected computing.
Exynos processors, as we know, are built from scratch that powers Samsung’s flagship devices like Galaxy S II.
PS: Pictured above is Samsung’s recently announced 1.5GHz Exynos 4212.
