Leaked ad claims Verizon to sell Galaxy Nexus as Nexus Prime

November 22, 2011 By kunal Leave a Comment

It looks like Verizon will settle for a name that was known amongst the rumormongers until Google and Samsung christened it as Galaxy Nexus. A leaked Best Buy catalog posted over at Phandroid shows an ad that clearly mentions Verizon’s variant as Nexus Prime. The reason for a name change seems to be a marketing decision which will supposedly allow Verizon to differentiate its Nexus offering than the international version.

Nexus Prime on Verizon is expected to reach consumers in the next few weeks for a price of $299.99 on a two-year contract.
