Series 9 notebooks from Samsung are one of the thinnest notebooks in the industry but Samsung took a step further with the second generation of Series 9. An investment of over 33,000 hours in research, the second generation Series 9 notebook is created out of single aluminum shell and is 37 percent thinner (at 12.9mm) and 0.4 pounds lighter than the original Series 9 notebook. Moreover, Samsung has sand-blasted the notebook to keep it free from smudges and blemishes.
On the hardware front, the Series 9 will come in two screen options – 13.3-inch and 15-inch one. Both come with an HD+ display (1600×900 pixels) and SuperBright Plus that offers brightness to up to 400nits.
Series 9 notebook is powered by Intel’s Core i5 processor, 128GB SSD, USB 3.0, Wi-Fi, multi-card reader, FastBoot tech that boots in 9.8 seconds, Battery Life Plus that gives up to 1,500 battery charges before a replacement and a battery life of up to 7 hours.
Samsung will release Series 9 notebooks from February 27 for $1,400 for 13.3-inch and $1,500 for 15-inch.
