Apple files another lawsuit against Samsung in US

February 13, 2012 By kunal Leave a Comment

Apple filed a new lawsuit against Samsung last week alleging a number of Samsung products to infringe on their patents. This time, Apple is targeting devices about 18 products including Galaxy S II Skyrocket, Galaxy S II Epic 4G Touch, Galaxy Player 4.0 and 5.0 PMPs etc.

Apple alleges that despite the previous lawsuit where Apple lost the decision to block sales of couple Samsung products, the Korean company “has continued to flood the market with copycat products, including at least 18 new infringing products released over the last eight months”

The patents in question are as follows:

U.S. Patent No. 8,074,172 – “Method, System, and Graphical User Interface for Providing Word Recommendations”
U.S. Patent No. 5,946,647 – “System and Method for Performing an Action on a Structure in Computer-Generated Data”
U.S. Patent No. 8,046,721 – “Unlocking a Device by Performing Gestures on an Unlock Image”
U.S. Patent No. 8,086,604 – “Universal Interface for Retrieval of Information in a Computer System”
