Samsung has introduced a new Android phone for the Dutch consumers. Dubbed as Galaxy Pocket, the phone will go for the entry-level smartphone market with its affordable price tag of 139 euros. Despite the low price, the phone packs some decent features like Android 2.3 OS, an 832MHz processor, 2.8-inch display, TouchWiz UI, 2MP camera, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0, 3.6Mbps support, ChatON, Samsung Apps, 3GB internal memory, microSD card slot and 1200mAh battery.
The phone will be available in Netherlands from Q2 2012.
UPDATE: In addition to Netherlands, Galaxy Pocket will be available in Italy from March followed by other European markets, CIS, Latin America, Southeast and Southwest Asia, the Middle East, Africa, and China.
UPDATE 2: Samsung has confirmed the Nordic pricing and availability of Galaxy Pocket. In Sweden, the phone will be available in April for 1200SEK. In Finland, it will go on sale in spring for 129 euros whereas Norway will get it in April for 1199NOK. No word on the price for Denmark.
