Samsung is the leader in the smartphone market in China, according to a research report by Gartner. The Korean company managed to beat local companies like Huawei and ZTE and international competitors like Apple and Nokia to take the top spot.
Samsung has a 24.3 percent market share thanks to the steady sales of Galaxy S II and budget smartphones across various cellular operators.
According to an analyst, Samsung’s strategy of “dealing with different network standards” will help them to achieve a “pretty valuable competitive edge.”
