Samsung confirms to be working on Android-based digital camera

March 14, 2012 By kunal Leave a Comment

Samsung first dropped a hint on working on an Android-based digital camera when they filed for a trademark for “Galaxy Camera.” Now the Korean company says that they’re working on one with an “open OS.” Admittedly, not a flat-out confirmation but speaking to Engadget, a Samsung exec claimed to be “considering Android-based because our smartphone is Android-based.”

A camera with an Android OS would allow consumers to use various Android apps to share images and even take advantage of other apps to enhance images.
