Expectedly, Samsung has filed a Notice of Appeal to Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit to put a stay on the Galaxy Nexus injunction that was granted last week. Samsung’s motion wants the stay for the “entire duration of the appeal or until the Federal Circuit decides on a possible stay.”
As pointed by Foss Patents, Samsung raises some arguments like the “Court’s order is inconsistent with the Federal Circuit’s directive that market share losses must be substantial” and even wants the Court to “define the scope of the ‘604 patent as narrowly as possible” that will help them to get a stay on the injunction.
Samsung also confirmed to work closely with Google as the infringed patent is related to Google’s unified search function.
