Samsung Develops 10nm-class 64GB NAND Flash Memory For Smartphones And Tablets

November 15, 2012 By kunal 1 Comment

Samsung recently started mass producing a 64GB eMMC solution for smartphones and tablets and now they’ve announced the next-generation 64GB flash storage that uses 10nm-class process technology.

Samsung says the new 64GB NAND (64GB eMMC Pro Class 2000) is 30 percent faster than the previous generation and achieves sequential read/write speeds of 260MB/s and 50MB/s, which is up to 10 times faster than a Class 10 memory card.

Samsung has also managed to shrink the solution by 20 percent, which now measures 11.5x13mm compared to 12x16mm of a conventional embedded memory solution.
