Samsung’s rugged Xcover range has got an addition – the Galaxy Xcover 2. The phone is IP67 certified, which means the device is protected against dust, accidental drops and water (up to 1 meter up to 30 mins). Samsung has also added the ability to take pictures instantaneously or underwater with the help of a physical camera shutter key.
The phone runs Android 4.1 and is powered by a 1GHz dual-core processor with 1GB RAM, 4-inch WVGA (800×480) display, 5MP rear-facing and VGA front-facing camera, 4GB internal memory, microSD card slot, GPS + GLONASS with pre-loaded Google map data, various Hubs, AllShare Play, Cardio Trainer Pro app and 1700mAh battery.
There’s no word on the release but Samsung will showcase the device at MWC 2013.
