Samsung’s upcoming 85-inch S9 UHD TV has been certified by two prestigious organisations in Europe and United States.
European certification agency, TUV Rheinland certified the television after evaluating on a number of criteria like the picture quality, viewing angle, brightness, colour and the response rate. This is the third flagship TV from Samsung to earn the TUV Rheinland certification in the last three years.
Meanwhile in US, Underwriters Laboratories also certified the TV on the basis of its picture, audio and 3D output quality.
Samsung unveiled their range of UHD TVs at CES but will initially release the 85-inch UHD TV in the market. While Samsung has pegged to release the S9 UHD TV in India and other markets in May, Samsung started taking pre-orders of the TV in South Korea for 40 million won (~US$38,000).
