Samsung announced the pricing of its curved OLED TV for the South Korean market in late June. Now, in a bid to offer competition to other OLED TV makers, Samsung has announced a price cut of the TV for its home market. The new price of the TV is 9.9m won ($8900) compared to the previous 15m won ($13,000).
The price cut is quite significant and is a result of the stable production yield that can help make way for cheaper OLED TVs. Our guess would be at the upcoming IFA trade show in Germany next month.
The OLED TV from Samsung isn’t available in many regions but Samsung is expected to divulge more details about the television for the American market later this week.
