
The Galaxy Tab 3 Kids tablet that leaked yesterday has got the official acknowledgement. Samsung says the tablet is built “specifically for kids with educational tools and safety parents want”.
The tablet is pre-loaded with educational content, games, entertainment, e-books and a dedicated kids app store. The device also offers parents to choose which apps to give access to and a Time Management feature that password protects the tablet after a specified time period. Furthermore, there’s a case that offers grip and acts as a kickstand for the tablet and integrates a C Pen.
Internally, the Galaxy Tab 3 Kids is same as Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 with Android 4.1 OS, 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 1GB RAM, 3MP and 1.3MP cameras, 7-inch WSVGA display (1024×600) Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 4000mAh battery.
Samsung will launch the tablet in South Korea first in early September followed by China, Europe, US, Africa, South America and South East Asia.
