Samsung has announced the opening of its first Canadian R&D Centre in Vancouver, British Columbia. Samsung says the new centre currently employs 60 skilled software engineers, designers and operation staff and will concentrate on “developing Samsung’s enterprise security solutions, while also providing global technical support for the company’s diverse B2B customers”.

Samsung spends heavily on its R&D globally and as per last year, spent US$10.8 billion towards research and development across its 33 R&D centres worldwide.
