Wall Street Journal has published an article on Tizen OS and though there’s nothing new to reveal, the report does give a good overview on how the Tizen OS is facing delays due to low to non-existent support from carriers and Samsung trying to court small developers.
Few interesting takeaways are how NTT Docomo delayed the release of its first Tizen device at the last minute citing “lack of demand” and other carriers like Sprint and Telefonica exiting the Tizen association.
The only consolation from the report is that Samsung has confirmed to offer a “sneak preview” of devices at the MWC later this month and Samsung’s commitment to release Tizen as soon as possible.
