Samsung has announced their latest NX series camera that is touted to be the world’s slimmest and lightest interchangeable-lens camera. The 22.5mm thin NX mini’s body weighs just over 150g and features a metal chassis with a leather finish to give the camera a premium look.
As for the specifications, the camera features a 20.5MP BSI CMOS sensor, built-in flash, a 3-inch HVGA Flip-out LCD touchscreen, RAW support, Full HD video recording at 30fps, Wink Shot that clicks a picture after a user winks at the camera and NFC and Wi-Fi connectivity for easier sharing and backup of photos and videos to Dropbox or Flickr.
The camera also features variety of modes and filters to spruce up the image.
Samsung also introduced three new NX-M lenses that are supported by NX mini and an NX-M Mount Adapter to make the camera work with existing NX Series lenses. The NX-M range includes 9mm F3.5 ED lens priced at $179; NX-M 9-27mm F3.5-5.6 ED OIS lens for $279 and NX-M 17mm F1.8 OIS lens.
The NX mini will be available in early April for $449 with 9mm NX-M lens and $549 with 9-27mm lens and SEF-7A flash.
