Samsung has announced a new Galaxy Tab 4 variant in the United States aimed at students. The Galaxy Tab 4 Education is a rugged 10.1-inch tablet targeted towards K-12 students that supports Google’s Play for Education initiative, giving access to teacher-approved apps, books and video and can even be managed via a web console.
Samsung says the tablet will be compatible with Samsung School in the near future, which is Samsung’s interactive classroom management solution.
Apart from this, we’re looking at the same Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 that sports a 10.1-inch WXGA (1280×800) with an aspect ratio of 16:10, Android KitKat, 1.2GHz quad-core processor, 1.5GB RAM, Multi Window support, Wi-Fi, 16GB internal memory, microSD card slot and 10 hours of battery life.
The Galaxy Tab 4 Education is now available for $369.99 through Samsung partners for deployments for academic year 2014-15.
