We’ve had way many showcases of the Tizen smartphone but this is the first time we’ll see a device that will go on sale and it unsurprisingly, comes from Samsung. Dubbed Samsung Z (SM-Z910F), Samsung has adopted the same faux leather back from the Galaxy series but has a slightly revamped design. On the features side, the Samsung Z looks like a Tizen running Galaxy S5 with a 2.3GHz quad-core processor, 2GB RAM along with Ultra Power Saving Mode, Download Booster, S Health 3.0, Fingerprint scanner and heart rate sensor. However, in the world of Full HD displays, the Samsung Z has a 4.8-inch HD Super AMOLED display (720p), which is a bit of a let down.
Rounding up the features are 8 megapixel rear-facing and 2.1 megapixel front-facing cameras, LTE-A support, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, Wi-Fi, microSD card slot and 2600mAh battery.
The Samsung Z will be on showcase at the Tizen Developer Conference and will first launch in Russia in Q3 followed by other markets.
