Samsung’s homegrown app store will undergo a name change from next month. Starting July 1, Samsung Apps will be renamed as Samsung Galaxy Apps. The reason for the name change is not clear but we guess Samsung wants to segregate app stores for each platform. Earlier this month, Samsung announced to discontinue listing of bada OS on the website however, the store will be accessible via a device.
We’re not sure if the new name will bring in improved user interface and better app discovery but rest assured all your purchased apps will still be available after the branding makeover.
Samsung has been doing some changes as far as content services go. The most recent change Samsung did was to remove Samsung Hub from the Galaxy S5 and shut down Music Hub service.
