In addition to Galaxy Note 4, Samsung also unveiled a really innovative Galaxy Note device – the Galaxy Note Edge. As confirmed by the previous leak, the Galaxy Note Edge is a first in the industry to boast a curved edge screen on the side that provides quick access to frequently accessed apps, notifications and other functions. The edge screen works with a swipe even when the main display is turned off or pops up a notification on the side while watching a video.
As for the hardware, it’s more or less similar to the Galaxy Note 4. It’s powered by Snapdragon 805 2.7GHz quad-core processor and 3GB of RAM. The phone has a tad smaller display at 5.6-inch but boasts the same Quad HD+ resolution (2560×1440) for the main Super AMOLED display and about 160 pixels for the edge screen.
The internal memory will be either 32GB of 64GB and a slightly smaller battery capacity rated at 3000mAh battery.
Samsung does not reveal the release month but expects to sell in Charcoal Black and Frost White in select markets later this year.
