NTT Docomo today announced their winter lineup for Japan that includes three devices from Samsung. The first one is Galaxy S5 Active (SC-02G) that was restricted to the North American region till now, will retail in Japan from October 4. The rugged phone is more or less the same with some features added specifically for the Japanese market. Available in Camo Green and Titanium Gray, the Galaxy S5 Active is waterproof and dustproof with IP67 certification and comes with Android 4.4, One-Seg, 5.1-inch Full HD Super AMOLED display, 2.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon processor, Xi LTE and VoLTE support, FeliCa NFC, 16 megapixel camera, 2.1 megapixel front-facing camera and 2800mAh battery.
NTT Docomo will also sell the Galaxy Note Edge (SC-01G) from end of October. The Galaxy Note 4-like device sports an additional edge screen that gives quick access to notifications, apps and more. Specs-wise, we’re looking at a device with 5.6-inch Quad HD (1440×2560) Super AMOLED display, 2.7GHz quad-core Snapdragon processor, Xi LTE and VoLTE support, FeliCa NFC, 16 megapixel camera, 2.1 megapixel front-facing camera, One-Seg support, S Pen input and 3000mAh battery. The frost white colour will be available from middle of November.
The last device to be launched by NTT Docomo is Galaxy Tab S 8.4 in December. The tablet as we know comes with a vivid 8.4-inch WQXGA display (2560×1600), 2.3GHz quad-core Snapdragon chip, Xi LTE support, 8 megapixel rear-facing camera, 2.1 megapixel front-facing camera, One-Seg and 4,900mAh battery.
