The Samsung-Microsoft saga took a new turn as Samsung has now sought an arbitration in Hong Kong to settle the Microsoft dispute. Samsung is asking the International Court of Arbitration in Hong Kong “to resolve a dispute concerning the calculation of success credits.”
According to Reuters, the move from Samsung is “counter-offensive” and could “complicate the New York lawsuit.”
Microsoft on the other hand believes the “appropriate venue to interpret the business collaboration agreement is New York.”
Microsoft recently revealed that Samsung paid over $1 billion in royalty payments but failed to pay $6.9 million interest.
