Samsung’s venture capital arm Samsung Venture Investment Corporation (SVIC) has invested in Nanosys, a California-based company that produces energy-efficient displays with its Quantum Dot technology. Although the investment figure is under wraps, Nanosys confirms the new funds will be used to expand production capacity due to increase in demand.

Some of the customers for Nanosys’ Quantum Dot tech includes Hisense, TCL and Changhong.

SVIC also invested in the company back in 2010.
