Samsung at the Samsung Forum 2016 announced two new phones for the Indian market. The Galaxy A7 (2016) and Galaxy A5 (2016) are bumped up from last year’s Galaxy A7 and Galaxy A5 devices with a better look and improved performance.
The phones adopt Galaxy S6’s design style with the metal and glass body that gives the devices a premium look. Both phones support 4G LTE Cat. 6 and are equipped with Full HD Super AMOLED displays (5.5-inch for A7 ad 5.2-inch for A5).
The phone are powered by Samsung’s own Exynos 1.6GHz octa-core processor but differentiates in the RAM segment with 2GB present in the Galaxy A5 and 3GB in Galaxy A7. Additionally, the phones have a 13MP rear-facing camera, a 5MP front-facing camera, fingerprint scanner, 16GB internal memory, microSD card slot supporting up to 128GB and fast charging battery (2900mAh in the A5 and 3300mAh in the A7).
The phones will be available from next week in India from Snapdeal online and at all offline retail partners for Rs. 33,400 (Galaxy A7) and Rs. 29,400 (Galaxy A5) along with free 30GB data from Airtel for 6 months.
