Samsung has announced about the development of world’s fastest 2.5-inch SSD. The new disk runs on SATA II interface, has a mammoth 256GB of space and is just 9.5mm thick. This SSD has a writing speed of 160MB/s and a reading speed of 200MB/s.
Samsung says that this disk has been developed on Multi Level Cell (MLC) technology and is as reliable as a Single Level Cell (SLC) SSD but costs less to produce it. The drives will also boast a data encryption process which will make it impossible for the data to get leaked.
These SSDs will go into mass production later this year.
