Samsung has unveiled the new NX Series hybrid digital cameras that promise to match the image quality of DSLR while giving portability and convenience of a point-and-shoot. The cameras use APS C sized image sensor to provide larger surface area to gather light and produce high quality images than the conventional compact cameras. The cameras however, do not use mirror box used in DSLRs but use an Electronic Viewfinder (EVF). The integration of EVF makes the camera smaller and lighter by almost 60% than DSLRs.
The NX series hybrid cameras will be released in the second half of this year.
