Samsung has started shipping 16GB DDR3 RAMs which are touted to be the world’s smallest and high-density memory. These memories are aimed for the servers and are based on 50nm, 2 gigabit(Gb) technology.
The 16GB module runs at 1066Mbps and the RDIMM version features a dual-die package configuration that makes it more efficient in cost and performance as compared to a quad-die config. The 16GB modules also operate at 1.35 volts making it more power efficient than other 1.5V DDR3 modules.
