Samsung unveiled 13.4-incher Q320 and 15.6-incher R522 laptops at the Samsung European Forum. Q320 boasts an edge-to-edge screen with an aspect ratio of 16:9 capable of displaying HD content. The notebook is powered by an Intel Centrino 2 processor and features a dedicated Nvidia GeForce G105M GPU with 256MB GDDR3 memory. It has a slot loading optical drive, single USB port – yes, one – and combo of USB and eSATA port. Q320 promises to give around 4.6 hours on a six-cell battery.
On the other hand, larger sized R522 also runs on Intel Centrino 2 and has a HD capable screen. Other things offered in this notebook is the light-up trackpad, 4 USB ports including a port which allows charging without the need of start the notebook, USB/eSATA combo port and aluminum finish palm rest. This notebook boasts around 5 hours of battery life.
The duo is expected to reach the retail market next month.
