Samsung has unveiled Spinpoint M7 hard drives that come with a shock operation tolerance of 400G/2ms. Apart from withstanding shocks of greater magnitude, the drives are 18 percent faster than conventional 2.5-inch HDDs.
It runs at 5400RPM and features 3.0Gbps SATA interface, 8MB cache, SilentSeek and NoiseGuard technologies and comes in capacities ranging from 250GB to 500GB.
Samsung will be shipping these drives to US and Europe from this month followed by other regions.
