Samsung is upbeat about its external HDD sales, thanks to the rise of netbooks and notebooks. Now, to cash in the opportunity, they have announced two ‘Pop’ colors (Sweet Pink and Ocean Blue) for its S Series hard drives and storage bumps for 1.8-inch S1 Mini and 2.5-inch S2 Portable. 160GB and 500GB variant are now available in the S1 Mini and S2 Portable series respectively.
Apart from these additions, the S Series boast the regular feature set, like SecretZone that encrypts data in AES-128bit or AES-256bit, SafetyKey to password protect confidential files and auto backup.
The drives are shipping now and will reach other regions by the end of this month.
