Verizon updates Omnia software, unlocks GPS

It goes without saying that we’re waiting for the new Omnia line to hit our shores but if you’re one of those unlucky lucky ones still holding that original Omnia on Verizon, there’s some good news for you. Verizon pushed out a new firmware for Omnia that unlocks GPS. Other features or fixes are not known for now but I bet there won’t be anything as exciting as being able to use the ubiquitous GPS with your favorite GPS software.
