CNET today unknowingly broke the embargo related to Samsung digital cameras. Though they have taken it down now, three digital cameras were found lurking on Amazon UK’s website since July 29. Off the three, we’ve written about ST1000 but ST500 and ST550 looks to be new and matches well with the description of Samsung’s Tap and Take campaign.
Both, ST500 and ST550 come with dual screen – one at the rear (3-inch for ST500 and 3.5-inch for ST550) acting as the main and a 1.5-inch on the front that aptly follows the ‘Tap and Take’ function. Rest of the specs are identical with 12MP camera resolution, 4.6x optical zoom, Schneider Kreuznach lens and Dual-image stabilization.
The UK prices for the cameras are £249 for ST500, £299.00 for ST550 and £349.00 for ST1000.
