Vodafone bound Linux-powered Samsung phone leaked

So BGR was recently greeted with pictures of an unnamed Samsung phone which is claimed to be a Vodafone exclusive. The purported specs of the phone are LIMO (Linux Mobile) OS, AMOLED touchscreen display with haptic feedback, 8MP camera and loaded with Vodafone People service. Apparently, the phone is known as 360 in the Vodafone circles and though there is some speculation about this phone being known as I8305 Riedel, I believe the phone is I8320 Protector. Let me explain.

Firstly, I8305 Riedel’s Wi-Fi certification is dated back to May 2008. I am not telling Samsung can’t release a year-old certified phone now but all the phones certified after Riedel are already released or will be soon.

Secondly, Protector’s filing in July somewhat matches with the description above. I8320 Protector will also be based on Linux OS.

And finally, the image below. Agreed, its not conclusive but it sure is indicative. The protruding design at the bottom of the phone may have something to tell.

Anyways, Riedel or Protector, the phone will be unraveled on Sep 24 at a Vodafone event in London. So says another rumor.
