Verizon lifted the veil off few phones yesterday which also included Samsung’s Convoy. The Convoy (U640) clamshell phone may not be an eye turner but it is designed to work in the harshest of conditions. The phone complies with 810F military standard that gives resistance against shock, dust, vibration, salt fog, humidity, solar radiation, altitude and low and high temperature storage.
The phone also features Push-to-Talk that uses Verizon’s EV-DO Rev. A network, dual display, loudspeaker, 2MP camera, GPS, Bluetooth and powerful 1300mAh battery.
Convoy will reach retail stores on November 15 for $49.99 with a 2-year service agreement and $50 mail-in rebate.
