Samsung develops 30nm-based 64GB moviNAND and 32GB microSD cards

Samsung has announced two high capacity storage solutions for mobile devices. Its the 64GB moviNAND memory and 32GB microSD card that are based on advanced NAND flash chips using the 30nm process. The moviNAND memory measures just 1.4mm in height and comprises of 16 Multi-level cell based NAND chips and a controller.

On the other hand, the 32GB microSD makes use of eight 32Gb NAND chips stacked together along with a card controller.

The 64GB moviNAND is already in mass production while the 32GB microSD is expected to reach the mass production stage later next month.
