Samsung and Rambus enters into a licensing agreement

Samsung seems to be in a mood of resolving licensing issues. After settling with Kodak, Samsung has come to terms with memory maker, Rambus. The agreement will settle all claims between them and also give them access to Rambus’ patent portfolio.

As far as monetary compensation is concerned, Samsung will pay Rambus about $900 million through different ways like investing $200M in Rambus stock, $200M as an initial payment and $25M every quarter for the next five years.
