Samsung has launched AQ100 and SL605 point-and-shoot digital cameras at the PMA 2010. The AQ100 goes for the crowd seeking underwater photography whereas SL605 is touted to be durable and tough in the long run. The 0.78-inch thick AQ100 packs a 12MP sensor and when activated in Aqua mode, the camera has the ability to shoot up to 10 feet under water under exceptional low-light conditions. Additionally, the camera has a 2.7-inch LCD, 720p video recording, 5x optical zoom, Smart Auto scene recognition and more. It will be available in Spring 2010 for $199.99.
Moving onto the rough and tough SL605, it comes with a durable design that protects the camera and lens from any unwanted accidents. It has an anti-scratch mask, metal front cover and dust-proof button pad. It also boasts the same megapixel and optical zoom count as AQ100 but can’t record in HD as its waterproof sibling. It will also hit the retail shelves in Spring for $129.99.
