Samsung turns down Wave’s claimed April release

Samsung Wave

Some UK online retailers have started taking pre-orders of Samsung Wave (S8500) with a promise to ship the device in the next few weeks. However, Samsung UK has intervened saying that the UK release won’t be soon as it’s claimed.

“The Samsung Wave is not currently available for sale in the UK, but we look forward to its launch in June 2010, at which time details of tariffs and stockists will be released by our operator partners,” said Samsung’s spokesperson to TechRadar.

Wave is Samsung’s first bada phone that features 3.3-inch Super AMOLED screen, 1GHz CPU, 5MP camera, HD video recording, FM Radio, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, microSD card slot and more.
