More details have surfaced of Samsung’s upcoming tablet computer. Although Samsung executive confirmed to launch the tablet in the second half of 2010, Electronic Times is reporting an August release in addition to other details.
According to the newspaper, Samsung began working on the ‘S-Project’ tablet early this year and is now rumored to be known as S-Pad. The tablet will run Android OS and will feature a 7-inch Super AMOLED screen (Samsung Wave, Galaxy S & AMOLED Beam I8520 are the only ones to have it), Wi-Fi, 3G and USB connectivity. SK Telecom is said to be the official carrier.
Samsung is also working on high quality applications, which is understandable since content is as equally important as the hardware. Samsung will most likely distribute the apps via its own app store, Samsung Apps.
