Not long ago U.S. Cellular confirmed the existence of an Android phone on their Facebook account and now we’ve got a picture of the upcoming phone. The Acclaim (SCH-R880) sports a sliding physical QWERTY keyboard, runs Android 2.1 and features a 3.2-inch touchscreen display with HVGA resolution (320×480), Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, microSD card slot, 3MP camera with flash and access to Android market and Google services.
U.S. Cellular expects to retail the phone sometime in July.

Samsung must make more phones with slide qwerty… In 2007-2008 i bought F700, the first one with slide qwerty from Sammy i think… In 2008-2009 in Europe Sammy didn’t launch anyone slide qwerty phone. In 2009-2010 launched only OmniaPro (i bought it, very good phone), CorbyPRO & W3410… This season I’am waiting at least one hi-end winmo & one android slider qwerty phone and 2-3 mid-range bada. Acclaim look really nice! I hope to see a European edition of this phone… How much you cost this phone… I think about 250euros. 🙂
