Samsung and Sony have a partnership in the form of S-LCD and the latest rumor suggests that both the companies might extend the partnership further when top executive from both the companies will meet together next week.

The dinner meeting between Samsung’s chairman Lee Kun-hee and Sony CEO, Howard Stringer will take place on May 24 and if some sources of Maeil Business Newspaper are to be believed, Sony will demand for an increase in the LCD panel production. Furthermore, both the companies are also expected to collaborate in other areas like 3D.

Samsung spokesperson didn’t reveal the time nor the venue of the meeting.
