Samsung’s currently the market leader in phones in the North American region and according to the data released by Strategy Analytics, they’ve managed to widen the market share gap. As per the data, Samsung has recorded in excess of 30% percent (30.1% to be exact) market share selling around 12.3 million handsets for the period of January-March.
As for Canada, Samsung sold about 600,000 units in the first quarter taking their market share to 26.5 percent and the combined North America market share to 29.9 percent.
LG, Research in Motion, Motorola and Apple came in second, third, fourth, fifth respectively.
