Samsung Wave now available in some European countries, coming soon elsewhere

Samsung Wave S8500

 

Samsung has officially announced the commercial availability of their first bada-powered handset. The Wave (S8500) is available in countries like Germany, France and UK and has confirmed to expand the availability to other European countries, Asia, Latin America and MEA in the coming weeks.

Wave is a powerful device that features a 1GHz CPU, 3.3-inch Super AMOLED screen with TouchWiz 3.0 UI, DivX/Xvid support, 5MP camera with HD video recording, Bluetooth 3.0, Wi-Fi 802.11n, microSD card support, 3.5mm headphone jack.

Samsung is pushing developers to create apps for the bada platform that will be sold on Samsung Apps store. A new final SDK to v1.0.0 will be available soon for download.
