It’s not wrong when you draw comparisons between two high-end phones, in this case, Samsung’s powerful Galaxy S and Apple’s iPhone 4. But when journalists asked questions to Samsung’s JK Shin related to iPhone 4 at Galaxy S’ launch in South Korea (that was barely after six hours), he turned it down because he was ordered not to say so. According to sources, “Samsung Electronics officials have been ordered not to speak publicly about the new iPhone.”
The exact reason for this is that though Samsung is a competitor in the mobile market, its other businesses act as suppliers to Apple and wouldn’t want to tread in Apple’s bad books because of some comment. Apple is one of most valued clients.
Apple is our competitor in the complete product market, but it is our VIP client that purchases most of our key components. […] There is no need to put it in a bad mood with unnecessary comments or actions.
