It looks like Samsung Wave and Galaxy S something in common with Apple’s iPad. UBM TechInsights recently analyzed the application processors used in iPad and Wave and concluded that both the devices use the same 1GHz ARM Cortex-A8 core. The reason behind this is probably that both chips were designed by Intrinsity. Intrinsity struck a deal with Samsung to design the chip whereas Apple has reportedly bought the semiconductor company.

Samsung uses the S5PC110 Hummingbird CPU for its devices whereas Apple has A4 that is being used in iPad and iPhone 4.
