U.S. Cellular will release Samsung Acclaim Android device on July 9

Samsung Acclaim’s existence was not really a secret and now U.S. Cellular has announced the release date of the device. Samsung Acclaim will be an exclusive to U.S. Cellular and will start retailing from July 9. It will go for $99.95 after mail-in rebate.

As far as specs goes, Acclaim features a 3.2-inch HVGA touchscreen display, physical sliding QWERTY keyboard, Android 2.1 OS, 3MP camera with LED flash, Wi-Fi, EVDO, access to Android Market and a 1500mAh battery giving talk time to up to 8 hours.

U.S. Cellular will also offer an unnamed Samsung device with a sliding QWERTY keyboard and 2MP camera.

    Is it able to work on Europe? Samsung seems not to care about the European qwerty fans… :S This one & Moment only fron America… 🙁
